Have a pen or pencil and paper ready, or if you have to use a calculator.
Find a volunteer.

• Get the volunteer to think of any number.

  Eg 5

• Multiply that by 3.

  5 x 3 = 15

• Now add 6 to the amount.

  15 + 6 = 21

• Divide that by 3.

  21 / 3 = 7

• Subtract it from the first number used.

  7 - 5 = 2

The answer will always be 2
