This game has been around for ever. You might have even heard of it before. Very simply the end result is the person thinks of grey elephants in Denmark. Of course with some assistance from you.
-
Get someone to choose a number between 1 and 10. Example 7
-
Have them multiply the chosen number by 9. Result 63.
-
If they have a two digit number (they might have chosen 1), get them to add the two digits together . Result 9.
-
Have them subtract 5 from that new number. Result 4.
-
Apply that new number to the same number of the alphabet which will be D. Say out aloud "A is 1, B is 2, C is 3, D is 4.")
-
Get them to think of a country beginning with that letter (there is also the Dominican Republic, but the chances are 99% they will NOT think of that)
-
Get them to think of the second letter in their chosen county and think of an animal that begins with that letter.
-
Look at them with a curious look and tell them "there are no elephants in Denmark" 🙂
You can also apply this to a group of people.
Play around with your presentation. Enjoy it!
